San Juan Capistrano is one of the oldest towns in California. Native peoples, a Spanish Mission, Mexican ranchlands, vast farms and small adobes all make up the rich history surrounding this area. Today, its downtown area is a bustling hub of dining, bars and shops, anchored by the Capistrano Depot train station. Along the tracks, the Los Rios District features quaint shops and cafes inside of historic homes. The Mission San Juan Capistrano is a cultural destination experience, a place of inspiration, education, and celebration. San Juan Capistrano is serviced by the CUSD, but is also home to several prestigious private schools, from K-12.
